A Citizen of the World
That’s who I am.
To be a citizen of the world,
Is to be connected to all!
Part of the same race,
The Human Race!
A totality, empty of “color”
A race unrestrained by “gender”
A race unaffected by “age”
And indifferent to one’s height or shape!
Neither wealth, nor status,
Affect the members of the Human Race!
For the same beating hearts,
The same breathing lungs,
Red blood flowing in all veins,
All enjoy some forte!
And also endure some feebleness!
Yet, all treasure the same mortal life.
A Citizen of the world,
Could be from Africa or from Asia,
From China, or from India,
From Vietnam or from Ilam,
May be from Iran,
Or from Saigon,
From Tibet!
Or from the Czech,
From the North Pole, or from the South,
Could be an American,
Or be a German,
Makes no difference where we were born,
Or what heritage we hold,
What language we speak,
Or what religion we practice, or not!
How old we really are,
Or what style of life we lead,
For - we all have a choice,
To be a citizen of the world!
And to be part of the same race,
The Human Race!
